I have a love/hate relationship with the company that designed this pattern. Their designs are always tantalizing and completely gorgeous. I am sure everything about them would be perfect if I were fluent in Norwegian. DROPS Design has so much variety and flare that it's impossible not to want to make at least one of everything they offer. They make valiant and generous efforts to translate their work into English, unfortunately, the methodology doesn't generally work out... it takes lots of highlighter, reading and re-reading and a dose of intuition to pull off a passable replica. I've started and given up on two previous projects of theirs because I was unable to decipher the remaining instructions.
With enough Ravelry projects showing me that this one had been attempted and finished, I was prepared to give it a go. I am pleased with the result, though in construction, I made it up in a very different manner (and still had difficulty in working out the instructions). The pattern can be found here.
See last 3 images for annotated pattern notes, if interested.
