There are three rather oddly placed patches of asparagus poking up around the property and despite being slightly frost bitten by a mid april snow, they were looking pretty fine. So fine in fact that I went outside in my dressing gown and duck boots to harvest some. On an especially fine evening, they were roasted on the barbecue to a state of perfection.
